The Arbitration Council Foundation (ACF) and Arbitration Council, in cooperation with Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training, will hold the 6th National Industrial Relations Conference under the theme “Cambodia for Peaceful Industrial Relations” on 16 June 2015 at InterContinental Hotel, Phnom Penh.

Keynote addresses and interactive panel discussions will cover the Impact of Minimum Wage Fixing and Implementation on Industrial Relations, Management of ‘Interests-based’ Claims, and the Necessity of Total Industry Engagement in both mechanisms to promote peaceful and productive industrial relations in Cambodia. ACF will present its “Labour Strike Study Findings” to the audience at the full day conference.

The Conference is the only national forum of its kind in Cambodia, bringing together key public and private sector stakeholders to engage in social dialogue for improved peaceful industrial relations and thereby contribute to broader economic growth and social development. Past conferences have been well-attended and included representatives from the major union federations and employer associations, the Royal Government of Cambodia, International Labor Organization and other local and international organisations and actors.

The Conference will be made possible through the generous support of donors to ACF and the Arbitration Council, Sweden, Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT, Australia), GAP Inc., and Levi Strauss Foundation.
