The National Academy of Arbitrators’ (NAA) Annual Meeting and Education Conference in Boston, Massachusetts, USA from 7th to 10th May 2024 is a significant event for the Arbitration Council/Foundation (AC/F) from Cambodia. Five delegates from the AC/F are attending the Conference (3 arbitrators and 2 ACF staff).
On 7th May, a session focused on Cambodia’s Arbitration Council, labor dispute resolution, and arbitral award enforcement was presented by the three arbitrators from the AC, which was attended by 36 arbitrators and lawyers from the US and Canada.
From 8th to 10th May, the conference will explore a wide array of arbitration and labor relations topics, including Police Arbitration, Mandatory Employment Arbitration, Class Action Waivers, and the impact of Generative AI on Labor Arbitration. Sessions will also cover Emerging Collective Bargaining in Women’s Sports, Recurring Issues in Postal Arbitration, and strategies for Preventing and Interrupting Abuse and Violence at Work, among other labor and employment issues.
The ongoing collaboration between the NAA and AC/F highlights their shared dedication to improving labor relations and dispute resolution. Overall, the conference serves as a valuable forum for professionals to exchange ideas, keep abreast of current trends, and discover new approaches in arbitration.
