What makes the International Labor Day occasion special is actually the celebration of workers’ achievement. For this special event, the Arbitration Council Foundation joins Cambodia’s workers and their employers of all economic sectors in Cambodia to recognize and commend their great efforts in both being the basis of the economic growth and continued finding resolutions to all problems through peaceful means.
Although workers have gained the right to strike, right to unionization, and freedom of association, and they have access to peaceful dispute resolution forum, namely the Arbitration Council, for the past nineteen years, there are still enormous amount of work to do in order to uphold those rights and continue to gain freedom.
The Arbitration Council Foundation, with invaluable support from its major partner, the Embassy of Sweden Section Office in Phnom Penh, continues to commit itself in providing, protecting, and improving the peaceful dispute resolution forum for the workers and their employers.
